SAP PS / FM / Budgeting Consultant Full Time

We are seeking a SAP Project Systems / Funds Management expert to become an integral part of our consulting team @ CIYIS! The SAP Finance Expert will be to ensure our client’s financial, costing, funds management, and project systems processes are accurate and fully compatible with standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Make recommendations for corrections, record adjustments to the general ledger and subsidiary systems, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) analysis and rejected documents reports and charts using financial data and supporting spreadsheets.
  • Validate that WBS requests are appropriately linked to approved programs and projects, complete WBS requests and enter them into SAP.
  • Work with users to analyze current business processes, recommend changes and develop written guidance in the form of policies and procedures.
  • Update the Budget Distribution Guide to include all execution data as well as correct any inaccuracies and inconsistencies in the current documentation.
  • Identify and resolve errors encountered when using the daily interface and mass upload to create new WBS elements.
  • Create/Update new WBS in SAP by validating data requirements as requested.
  • Maintain WBS element request templates and validation database.
  • Manage Master Data internal task list and required actions.
  • Perform year-end activities to establish Master Data for the new fiscal year.
  • Create a comprehensive Budget Information guide to include all budget and budget related transactions and processes.
  • Provide training to accountants/budget analysts on Federal financial management, OMB A-11, and federal budgetary processes, to include but is not limited to FS appropriations and programs, budgetary accounting, U.S. Standard General Ledger, reimbursable accounting, and external reporting.
  • Analyze financial and budget business processes and procedures for conformance to accounting, budgetary, internal control and financial reporting requirements and standards.
  • Makes recommendations for improvements and streamlining of processes. (Knowledge of federal budget processes and standards is required)
  • Analyze budget issues and provide recommendations for corrections.
  • Provide support in resolving budgetary abnormal balances.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on the SAP funds management process.
  • Provide updates to the agency’s Budget Information Guide (BIG) as necessary based on updated guidance from Treasury’s United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL) updates and Office of Management and Budget.
  • Provide support and analysis for yearend budget issues and concerns.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on general ledger issues associated with budgeting.


Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable in various SAP modules to include Funds Management, Project Systems and Budgeting with integration to FICO and/or Grants Management..
  • 5+ years’ experience managing teams

Educational & Work Qualifications:

  • 4 Year degree in business administration, operations management, computer science and/or related field.
  • U.S Citizen.
