How will you power what’s possible?Position Description:The role of the Senior SAP Project Manager is to successfully plan, execute, and complete projects by applying significant and proven project management expertise in the balancing of meeting deadlines, maintaining scope, and adhering to budgetary limits. This includes securing resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver project tasks according to plan. The Senior Project Manager will also balance and mitigate risk as well as communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders to move project objectives forward and achieve major deliverables for multiple projects within their domain of responsibilities.
The Senior Project Manager acts as an advocate for and implementor of client’s ITS Governance and PMO standard operating procedures.Description of Duties and ResponsibilitiesManages assigned projects by executing key responsibilities within the project management phases of initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing.Ensures projects are on track by managing the day-to-day operational aspects of project tasks, budget, and scope.Maintains consistency by leading on the creation, modification and adherence to project management standards, policies, and methodologies.Participates in PMO strategic planning activities in relation to advancing the ITS Project Portfolio.Through coaching, mentoring, motivating, and supervising, establishes a proactive, sense of urgency approach within the team to complete tasks, solve problems and overcome challenges.Ensures the success of projects by developing and strengthening critical partnerships with business stakeholdersEnsures effective communication by developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirement documentation and presentations to teams and stakeholdersActs as a change agent and helps to foster adoption within the organization for activities that introduce new processes, ways of working and technology capabilities because of project deliverables.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating inprofessional societies.Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, codes of conduct and other regulations.Qualifications and Experience RequirementsA Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field required.5-7+ years of related experience, ideally from a medium to large company with complex, integrated systems.Demonstrable experience of successfully implementing (on time/on budget/on scope) a diverse portfolio of projects of varying size (including but not limited to budget, resources, etc.), scope, and complexity across multiple lines of business is requiredSignificant track record of successfully managing multiple projects at the same time is required.SAP Experience or project work in leading SAP implementations is highly desirable.PMP Certification recommendedAgile Knowledge and Experience highly desirable.Strong technical acumen and computer skills required.Highly motivated, results-driven self-starter with good organizational skills, keen focus on details, proven ability to meet tight deadlines and to perform in a fast-paced work from anywhere environment with a high level of accuracy.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsFlexibility to work extended hours as required to meet deadlines.CompetenciesNimble LearningCustomer FocusPlans and AlignsCollaboratesBalances StakeholdersAction Oriented#J-18808-Ljbffr
