We manage information security as one end-to end program – one with a clear mandate and accountability. Our mission is a program that is fully anchored to modern control and architectural frameworks, is fully aligned with the enterprise architecture of the firm and is deeply integrated into the sectors and functions.Overview of the Role:The Senior Vice President, Cloud and NextGen Microservices Architect role is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas.
Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions.
Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over architecture decisions, associated resources, policy formulation and planning.
Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Ability to review competing products and pickup the most optimal for Citi’s needs with well documented justificationsExperience in API design/development including underlying technologies, Domain-Driven Design, and micro-services development (SpringBoot, Eureka, Zuul, Resilience4j, node.js)Understanding of, and ideally experience with, cloud hosting providers (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, and Open Shift) and containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes)Advanced understanding of AI/ML and LLM.Experience in Architecture governance such as IT Strategies, Technology and Application Roadmaps, Application Portfolio Management, Technology Standards Management, and API GovernanceDeep understanding of application architecture methodologies, standards, and patternsExperience in or understanding of Business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning technologies.Management and prioritization skillsAbility to manage multiple activities and changing priorities and work under pressure to meet tight deadlinesSelf-starter with ability to take the initiative and master new tasks quicklyMethodical, attention to detailExperience in Agile methodologyEducation:Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degreeThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
