SUMMARY
The role of the Sourcing Specialist involves material activities, focusing on sourcing materials at competitive rates, negotiating with suppliers, assessing cost breakdowns, and ensuring quality standards. Additionally, the Sourcing Specialist provides crucial support to quoting and purchasing functions, facilitating smooth coordination and enhancing efficiency across departments. This role requires close collaboration with various teams to accurately forecast business requirements and make informed sourcing decisions aligned with demand requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and qualify suppliers capable of meeting the stringent quality and compliance standards required for Mil-Aero manufacturing.
Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms, while maintaining strong relationships.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to understand material requirements and specifications.
Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and process improvements.
Manage the procurement process from RFQ (Request for Quotation) to PO (Purchase Order) issuance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate records of supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and procurement activities in the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.
Support strategic sourcing initiatives, including supplier rationalization and supply chain optimization projects.
Monitor corresponding KPI’s to comply with company goals and objectives.

Proficient in MS Suite (Teams, Excel, Outlook, Word).

Experience with ERP/MRP, preferably M3.
Component sourcing.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Supply Chain or related field or equivalent experience.
4+ years purchasing experience in manufacturing required with a focus on electronics preferred.
Experience in contract manufacturing is preferred.
ERP experience is required.
Experience sourcing suppliers from different platforms required.
