STATUS: Full-time Non-Exempt with benefits
RATE OF PAY: $31.00 per hour for the first two years, to increase to $35.00 after two years with merit
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Learning and Public Programming
GENERAL HOURS: Wednesday through Sunday

The Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) in Long Beach, California is the only museum in the western United States that exclusively features contemporary Latin American and Latinx art.

The Museum of Latin American Art expands knowledge and appreciation of modern and contemporary Latin American and Latinx art through its collection, ground-breaking exhibitions, stimulating educational programs and engaging cultural events.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
In conjunction with California’s IHSS Career Pathways Program, MOLAA is seeking a Pathways School Coordinator for our Education & Public Programs department. The goal of the Pathways Coordinator will be to develop and implement a series of engaging work-based learning opportunities for LBUSD students and coordinate an expanded internship program which provides targeted and meaningful experiences to students in their journey toward industry readiness and training for a career in the arts and beyond. The program will be available primarily to High School students, with an emphasis on teen internship and apprenticeship programs. Daily responsibilities will allow the Pathways Program Coordinator to actively engage with students to coordinate experiences, including various interactions with a wide range of department professionals at the museum, monitor progress, and provide individual one-to-one guidance and assessment with program participants. The Pathway Programs Coordinator will work closely with the Education Programs Manager and under the supervision of the VP of Learning and Public Programs. Duties will include career readiness content development, project management, program coordination, data management, research, reporting, and written and verbal communications. The Pathway Programs Coordinator will work with museum staff, interns, and program volunteers to support these and other program initiatives.
