The VP IT Cloud Platform Engineering is responsible for leading the development of a technology architecture for cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, and Saas) that business solutions delivery teams will leverage to efficiently deliver cloud solutions enabling business processes and/or solving business problems. The scope of the services includes people, process and technology associated with all cloud platforms GM Financial is leveraging. This person will lead the teams that engineer and operate our cloud capabilities and also play a key role in migrating applications individually and in bulk to our cloud. This person needs to be very experienced in technology with strong engineering, planning and coordination skills.
This person needs to be able to understand the cloud engineering details and be a change leader for running clouds. This individual will be expected to think strategically and participate in long-term planning efforts to define and support the business vision.
