ASSYST is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to support our client project in Austin, Texas. This is a Hybrid role with 4 days remote and 1 day onsite. LOCALS ONLY.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the operations of SHARP secure cloud infrastructure, platforms, and software.
- Develop patterns for automated provisioning, management, scalability, and security.
- Ensure all cloud solutions adhere to internally defined security and compliance standards and controls.
- Respond to and resolve application and security cloud issues.
- Oversee the overall health of the platform, including production issues and troubleshooting.
- Monitor system capacity and maintain multiple environments for increased observability using various software tools.
- Collaborate with other technical teams and stakeholders.
- Develop tools to continuously improve maintainability, monitoring, security, and scalability of cloud deployments.
- Provide operations support and enhancement for the SHARP platform.
Requirements:
- Experience in establishing proactive controls to monitor the health of various AWS services to improve the reliability of tools/applications. (10 years)
- Experience in supporting, maintaining, monitoring, and securing various AWS IaaS and PaaS services. (10 years)
- Experience in enhancing the security of various services based on a zero trust model. (8 years)
- Demonstrated experience in Linux administration and troubleshooting network issues. (8 years)
Preferred Experience:
- Strong programming skills. (4 years)
- Experience with Splunk is strongly preferred. (2 years)
- Experience or knowledge of DevOps concepts. (2 years)
- AWS SysOps Administrator Certification is preferred. (1 year)
- Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize conflicting assignments, and switch quickly between tasks as required. (1 year)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. (1 year)
