Chicken Processor- Mon-Friday 5am-1:30pm Full Time

Shift: M-F 5am-1:30pm

Pay Rate: $17.28 per hour

Responsibilities: The Chicken Processor will be responsible for efficiently and safely processing chicken products according to company standards and guidelines. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of our poultry products as they move through the processing line.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform various tasks in the chicken processing line, including but not limited to: sorting, cutting, deboning, trimming, and packaging chicken products.

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure proper handling, preparation, and processing of chicken products.

• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper sanitation and disinfection of equipment and workspaces.

• Operate machinery and equipment, such as cutting tools and packaging machines, safely and efficiently.

• Inspect chicken products for quality, identifying any defects or issues, and removing substandard items from the processing line.

• Monitor and adjust processing equipment settings as needed to ensure optimal product quality and production efficiency.

• Package processed chicken products according to company specifications, ensuring accurate labeling and portioning.

• Adhere to production schedules and quotas to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets.

• Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow and efficient production process.

• Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or product quality issues to supervisors promptly.

• Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on industry regulations, best practices, and new processing techniques.

• Work closely with HACCP and USDA to comply with all state and federal rules and regulations for poultry processing.

• Execute daily operations instruct by USDA for processing of poultry and inspections

• Other duties as assigned

Education – High school diploma preferred not required.

• Ability to stand and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods of time.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

• Willingness to adhere to strict safety guidelines and protocols.

Physical Demands/ Equipment:

• Independently lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs rarely

• Able to stand, walk, bend, squat on a frequent basis while on or off loading

• Able to grasp, reach, push or pull (such as boxes of product, or a hand truck) on a frequent basis

• May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit

• May be exposed to dust, feathers, and all chemicals used in poultry processing facility

• Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company

• Able to stand for several hours

• Ability to occasionally work in a noisy warehouse environment

• Able to work while wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as steel-toe protective footwear, harness, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, insulated clothing, etc)

• Ability to handle and physically be near products which may contain food allergens (such as fish, shellfish, peanuts, etc.)
